Measuring for Split Tilt Plantation Shutters
Measuring For Split Tilt
A split tilt shutter provides an additional layer of privacy and functionality to your Coverly Plantation Shutters. There is no substitute for natural light and a split tilt shutter makes it possible to retain natural light and privacy at the same time. A split tilt option allows for one section of the shutter louvers to be closed and the other to remain open.
A split tilt is required on shutters over 52” with the hidden tilt option (if no divider rail is being used).
Measuring The Position Of Your Split Tilt for an Inside Mount
Measure from the bottom of the window to the middle of the point you decide upon.
- For an inside mount with no sill, measure from the bottom of the recess.
- For an inside mount with a sill, measure from the top of the sill.
Measuring The Position Of Your Split Tilt for an Outside Mount
- For an outside mount with molding, measure from the edge of the molding
- For an outside mount with a sill, measure from the top of the sill
Split tilt locations may be altered by 2”+/- to ensure that we can fit all louvers evenly in your shutter.
