These shutters are absolutely amazing! Money well spent as an investment in our home! If you have any doubts about ordering, let that go and make the purchase! I have seen some of the 1 star reviews and I have to disagree. Most was measurements, but that would fall on the home owner as they are going by what was sent to them in the order. Furthermore, they give you an option to purchase an exact fit warranty, its well worth it to do so in case you yourself have measured incorrectly. I have nothing but good things to say about this company as you literally get to design exactly what you want for your home. Thank you Coverly! You guys are amazing!

Hands down, absolutely beautiful work! The shutter fits perfectly, and is more than I ever imagined. I love the fact that Coverly gives your options for opening and closing the shutter and different options for sizing the slats. I loved my shutter so much, that I will be purchasing shutters for every window in my home. You can tell that this company takes actual pride in their work!!! Beautiful, well made and promptly delivered. Took handyman 2 1/2 hours to complete install 2 of them. One improvement which would have been appreciated is the ability to schedule shipment so we can have someone available to accept delivery. It was already shipped when received notification that it was completed.

Growing up, my mother was an interior designer. She had a hard and fast rule, “I will never recommend a design that I wouldn’t put in my own home.” Couches, carpet, wallpaper (prominent in every home in the late 90’s), paint colors, and even bedding. Every 18 months or so we would have an entirely new color scheme in our home. She was quick to keep up with whatever that year’s “trend” was. However, there was ONE thing in our home that never changed; our window coverings. We had plantation shutters on all our windows for as long as I can remember. She pushed shutters to every client of hers. I think the guy she used to hang them made some good money off her. Anyways, fast forward 25 years and I have my own new (new to us, built-in 2001) home. It was a blank canvas - and a good reason for my mother to come out of retirement. It was also a fish bowl (nothing on the windows). My mother has, for the most part, kept up with the trends. I certainly saw some of the early 2000’s in her suggestions, but everything is cyclical so it will all be in style again (🤞). When we got to the windows, there was only one option - plantation shutters. We needed real wood shutters and wanted a stained finish to match our trim. The quote I got from Budget Blinds about took me out: $48/sqft Over $12k all in for my 15 windows. I called around, and the price was > $10k from all the local guys. My hopes for shutters quickly dwindled. I did a few searches and found several online sellers. I had a weird situation with one set of windows where the windows went to the ceiling. I wanted to match the “Z frame” look I was looking at for the other windows. None of the online stores could make my situation work, except for one. Coverly shutters. They told me they’d specially manufacture the shutters for windows to accommodate them. For a company that makes these at scale, it was cool they would build out something specific for me, without any type of upcharge either. All in I paid about $26/sqft for stained basswood shutters. Probably still double or triple the price of cheap blinds, but worth it for this son of a designer. The guy who came and gave us the $48/sqft quote had little samples, and these I got online feel just as nice if not nicer than those. Of course the labor was probably a good chunk of that $48, and it did take me a few hours to put all of them up, but to save $6000+? Two hours with a drill isn’t so bad.
We are generally happy with our shutter blind. The construction quality seems to be good. Our only concern is with the finish. We believe the finish quality should be a little better (smoother and perhaps with a layer of polyurethane), considering the cost.
Very well built and they look great. Ordering was easy and measurements were confirmed right as order was placed. Part of my order was temporarily lost by the shipper which delayed my delivery by a week. Overall I would definitely order again.
