Collection: Cellular Shades
Cellular shades, the most energy efficient shade you can buy
Cellular shades are built from pleated fabric folded into rows of hollow cells. Those cells trap a layer of air against the glass, and that trapped air is what makes a cellular shade the best insulator of any shade on the market. Windows are where a house loses the most heat in winter and takes on the most in summer, so this is the shade to hang if you are trying to bring an energy bill down or make a cold room usable again.
Light filtering cellular shades pass a soft even glow with no visible weave and no view through, so they give privacy all day. Blackout cellular shades add an opaque layer inside the cells for bedrooms, nurseries, and anywhere a screen is on. Both fold up into a very small stack at the top of the window, which keeps the view clear when the shade is raised.
ZeroGlow Blackout Shades are here too, for skylights and for the windows where an ordinary shade still leaks daylight around the edges. Side tracks hold the fabric at the sides so the light has nowhere to get in.
